Controlling the content delivery to Akamai prior to storage and the collection of user data is handled by our own servers. We use multiple synchronised front end servers hosted with multiple ISP's in geographically different areas, so that in the event of a server failure due to hardware/software or a geographically related problem i.e. fire, flood, terrorist attack etc, on or near an ISP, or company failure of an ISP, clients would still be able to connect to the iSiteTV servers.
To overcome the potential of any single point of failure with traditional hosting ISP's DNS service, iSiteTV has chosen to partner with DYNECT as a backup for any service failure. This effectively puts a mesh of eleven globally synchronised DNS server nodes, located on four continents in position to protect against any outage. DYNECT support thousands of partner service providers, and TLD infrastructure customers on a worldwide basis. This current infrastructure provides the DNS resolution for over 10 million domains around the world.
